Accounting, Bookkeeping, and Consulting Services is a single-member LLC that was formed in 2009 and has begun its operations in Feb 2010. Located near the Coraopolis area in Kennedy Township, this business specializes in providing these services to small businesses and individuals in the community. It is run by the owner, Joel P. Bruno, from his home in Kennedy Township. Joel possesses 20 years of experience in operations accounting working for several prominent financial services companies such as KeyCorp, Mellon Financial (now Bank of New York Mellon) and Wachovia Securities. Ironically, after working for these large firms a vision was birthed in his heart for the small business owner. With additional “small business” experience that he has received working under the Universal Accounting Center located in Salt Lake City, Utah, he realized that he could provide the same core bookkeeping/accounting type services that a larger firm can without having to perform a certified audit in order to do so. As a result he can charge a more reasonable fee to the small business owner as opposed to a large CPA type firm, especially since only about 3 % of small businesses are ever required to have a certified audit.
